The purpose of the advisory group is to advise this project and make sure it meets
the user community expectations. Our team in collaboration with NASA managers are
expected to proactively organize this advisory group effort. We are curently
working with Dr. Diane Wickland and Martha Maiden (at NASA) to identify a group of experts
and work with them on this aspect of the project.
The following names are being considred for service on this group:
NASA currently suports four working groups that comprise the ESDSWG (each focus on a
critical aspect of Earth science data systems. These open working groups bring together
NASA funded science and technology participants along with other community members from
academia, Federal agencies, and the private sector. Their objectives are to address critical
technology issues related to earth science data and aid in the overall improvement of NASA's
Earth science data systems.
Due to the nature of our MEaSUREs project, we decided to join and be part of the
"Technology Infusion" working group.
The purpose of the Technology Infusion Working Group is to enable NASA's Earth Science Enterprise
to reach its research, application, and education goals more quickly and cost effectively through
widespread adoption of key emerging information technologies.?To accomplish this, the working
group will focus on two tasks:
